The Costa Rica Art Tour is a novel cultural tour in the San Jose, Costa Rica area. You visit five Latin American artists in their studios, and can purchase artwork at reasonable prices if you wish. There's no pressure to purchase artwork, but if you do, we can help with the shipping via UPS. Lunch and transportation are included. Please note that with proper advance notice (24 hours generally), tours can proceed 6 days/week (not on Sunday)! Guests are advised to reserve their spot well in advance, a maximum of 9 people are included in each tour. Private art tours take place in small groups of 10 persons maximum, so you will have the opportunity to speak directly with the artists. Painters, sculptors, ceramicists, stained glass artists, printmakers, all are included in the tours, as are traditional artisans such as mask-makers and blacksmiths. All of our art tours are in private minibusses, and include lunch and translation into English. We can also arrange, at additional cost, transporation in private limousines.
